Lettering as a means of communicating ideas has been present since the early days of advertising and has continuously evolved alongside visual communication. It is widely used in campaigns and visual identities, not only as a final design solution but also as an exploratory practice that supports learning, experimentation, and the development of expressive and communicative language.
Alongside digital and traditional handcrafted approaches that are later digitized, 3D lettering has expanded the possibilities of the discipline by adding depth, volume, and spatial expression. From static compositions to animated forms, lettering continues to adapt to new media while maintaining its expressive strength.
Lettering is one of the main aspects I have focused on over the years, explored through multiple forms, from 3D to analog, and from static design to animation. This practice has included collaborations with Adobe for #AdobeLive sessions on Behance and the official Adobe YouTube channel (1 & 2), as well as features by typography and lettering companies and organizations.
